Acer has introduced a new member of the Predator Orion family of desktops with those characteristics that make your ability to get killed in Battlefield 1 negligible. This series, and the new Acer Orion 3000 Predator integrate blue lighting in the front and fans, of which only has space for two of 120 mm, as well as a mini-ITX plate in a custom-designed box – and that in fact like-.
The processor options are a Core i5-8400 or a Core i7-8700 and are accompanied by an Optane cache. The options of graphics cards go from a GTX 1050 to a GTX 1080, reason why it is a quite wide margin. Both will be included in a box of 368 mm × 167 mm × 372 mm, Interesting enough for those who do not want an equipment too large.
It can be configured with up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory at 2667 MHz, up to 3 TB of hard disk and up to 512 GB of SSD of type PCIe 3.0 × 4 NVMe. The motherboard features a Realtek RTL8118AS connectivity chip, which provides better Ethernet network latency, 2×2 802.11ac wifi and Bluetooth 5.0. The front connections include a USB 3.0 and a USB 3.0 type C, with two 3.5 mm audio.
Its price starts at $999 (1299 euros in Europe) and will be available in June, although it has not indicated what minimum characteristics it will have in the region. Like the other Predator Orion models, it is sold together with a keyboard and mouse with blue lighting.
